Please HP provide a solution. After registering your fingerprint you can log off and then use your registered fingers to log on to Windows.
Now you will be able to log in via enrolled fingerprints. After reboot HP Protect Tools as before would enroll my fingerprints, but again no prompt at windows login came to log in with fingerprint. After prompting for a PC reboot – which I did – it asked for setup of security etc. One of the squares below the hand graphic will change color when the scan is accepted. Multiple people can be registered to use the fingerprint reader if each person has an individual computer logon account. If you need to start over during the fingerprint registration process, right-click the highlighted finger on the screen, and then click Start Over.
